Pharmacist Support is preparing to launch its 2026 Trainee ACTNow campaign, offering free wellbeing guidance and practical resources to trainee pharmacists as they begin their foundation training year.
Running from Tuesday 25 August to Thursday 27 August, the campaign has been created to help trainees manage the pressures that can come with balancing study, workplace responsibilities and preparation for the registration assessment.
The trainee year can be an exciting step in a pharmacist’s career, but it can also bring new challenges. ACTNow aims to encourage trainees to make their mental health and wellbeing a priority while developing their professional skills and confidence.
Three areas of support
This year’s campaign will focus on three key themes:
- Understanding the training year
- Financial and budgeting support
- Building positive workplace relationships
Trainees who sign up will receive access to advice and insights from newly qualified pharmacists, along with workshops, videos and practical resources designed to support them throughout their training.
Resources will include guidance to help trainees prepare for working in a pharmacy and a dedicated pack to support the transition from trainee pharmacist to registered pharmacist.
The campaign will also provide wider mental health and wellbeing information, helping trainees develop useful strategies they can continue to use throughout their careers.

Taking action for wellbeing
ACTNow encourages individuals and pharmacy teams to:
- Allow time for wellbeing
- Consider the needs of others
- Take action
- Act now to improve their health and wellbeing
The campaign forms part of Pharmacist Support’s wider commitment to championing the wellbeing of those studying and working across the profession.
The independent charity runs three ACTNow campaigns each year, providing targeted support to pharmacy students, trainees and pharmacists at important stages of their studies and careers.
Pharmacist Support offers a range of free and confidential services to members of the pharmacy profession. Its mission is to ensure that no one within the pharmacy family has to face challenging circumstances without support.
