Staff at an Aberdeenshire community pharmacy are safe after a car crashed through the branch window on Monday 24 August.
Emergency services were called to Websters Pharmacy on Aulton Road in Cruden Bay shortly before 12.30pm following reports that a vehicle had struck the premises.
The Scottish Ambulance Service sent two ambulances and a special operations response team to the scene. The male driver of the vehicle was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Police Scotland confirmed that officers attended the incident and said enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing. Two fire appliances from Peterhead were also sent to the pharmacy.
A member of the pharmacy team confirmed to local media that everyone at the premises was safe following the crash.

Team working to reopen pharmacy
The incident forced the Cruden Bay branch to close unexpectedly on Monday. However, the team is working to reopen the pharmacy as quickly as possible and is aiming to welcome patients back on Tuesday afternoon.
In an update to patients, Websters Pharmacy said: “We apologise for the unexpected closure of the pharmacy yesterday. We are aiming to reopen this afternoon.”
The response demonstrates the resilience and commitment of community pharmacy teams when faced with circumstances entirely outside their control.
An unexpected pharmacy closure can disrupt prescription collections, access to urgent medicines and the advice and services patients regularly receive from their local pharmacy. The efforts being made to reopen the branch so quickly reflect the important role it plays within the Cruden Bay community.

Alternative support available
To help maintain access to essential medication while the branch remains closed, patients with urgent requirements have been directed to Websters Pharmacy in Peterhead.
The Peterhead branch is open and can be contacted on 01779 473 449.
Websters Pharmacy thanked patients for their continued patience and understanding while the Cruden Bay team works to resume services.
The group operates a number of community pharmacies across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Having support available through another branch has allowed urgent patient needs to continue being addressed during the temporary closure.
Community pharmacy teams regularly adapt to staffing pressures, supply issues and other operational challenges while continuing to provide essential healthcare services. The response in Cruden Bay offers another example of teams acting quickly to minimise disruption and maintain support for their patients.
Patients are advised to check directly with the pharmacy for the latest opening information before travelling.
No further details about the condition of the driver have been released.
